Susan Brind Morrow is an author, translator, and linguist living in New York State. She was born in 1958 to David and Shirley Brind. The family, which included two brothers and a sister, lived in Geneva, New York, in the Finger Lakes region. At 16, Morrow enrolled in Barnard College where she studied Greek and Egyptian hieroglyphs.
